From September to June, the Christian Spiritual Development ministry organizes classes and events for adult members of our church and community.

"Christianity Monday through Saturday"

In the 2011-2012 church year, CSD launched a new theme, "Christianity Monday through Saturday," and a new approach that focuses on traveling together on a path of Christian discovery where we share our conversations, help each other discover our spiritual strengths, and grow as Christians and as a community.

Scheduled events this year include once-a-month Sunday afternoon classes, using Richard Foster's "Celebration of Discipline: The Path to Spiritual Growth" as our guide. Informal member-initiated discussions on the disciplines Foster encourages -- such as meditation, prayer, fasting, study, and simplicity -- have often spilled over to Sundays following the monthly scheduled class.

In 2011-2012, an ongoing series of weekday evening dinner-discussions at Plymouth member homes has also been launched. Led by Rev. Al Bunis, these intimate, informal gatherings focus on "Ethical Conflicts in the Workplace," sharing thoughts on practicing Christianity in the workplace.

Specially themed Monday evening Bible classes have been scheduled during Advent (a study of The Book of Isaiah). Additional classes are under consideration.

All members of the Plymouth community are welcome to attend classes and activities. Most CSD classes are offered free of charge, unless specified. For more information on the latest CSD offerings, please refer to the Calendar of Events.
