Advent Worship

Christmas Stories

During the four Sundays of Advent we will be listening to the Christmas story from four perspectives - Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds - a senior citizen, a teenage girl, a confused fiance, and blue collar workers. For Christ to be born in our hearts, we need to hear the story in all of its sadness and hope.

Worship @ 11:00 am:

December 2  | "Zechariah's Story"
December 9  | "Mary's Story"
December 16  | "Joseph's Story"
December 23  | "The Shepherd's Story"

Children's Sunday School begins in the Sanctuary @ 11:00 am.

SUNDAY FAITH ED | 9:45 AM | DECEMBER 2,9,16 & 23

People usually ignored were the first to hear the Christmas story.  Listening to their stories can help us hear the story anew.

BLUE CHRISTMAS | DECEMBER 5 | 7:00 PM

This service is for those who might be feeling lonely, depressed or grieving during the holiday season. Prayer, meditation and music are all intended for comfort and healing. There will be a time at the close of the service for sharing.

The Carol Service | DECEMBER 16 | 6:00 PM

This year marks the 86th year for a neighborhood tradition: Plymouth’s candlelight service of carols and anthems. This year our prelude will be performed by you, singing Christmas carols together as we gather for the service, starting at 5:45 pm. Then sit back and enjoy a trip around the world.  Our journey begins in France, and by the time we are done we will have been to Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Poland, and the American South – musically, of course.  Join us, and bring a friend!
