Other Outreach Opportunities
Alongside the Christian Help support we provide our Partners, Plymouth pursues other volunteer and funding opportunities as special needs arise.

Disaster Relief

Some gifts can be planned; others must be made quickly to meet sudden needs. Christian Help has established a contingency fund for that purpose, and past gifts have been made to organizations aiding hurricane victims and those suffering in war zones. As emergencies arise, Plymouth will again extend a helping hand.

Plymouth Homeless Shelter

How can we serve the growing number of homeless New Yorkers right outside our doors? Since the homeless crisis in the ‘80s, Plymouth has provided warm beds, meals and hospitality as part of an interfaith shelter at the church. Our 2011-2012 shelter was hosted by Plymouth in October 2011.

Small Grants

Although Christian Help has made larger commitments to its new partners, in 2010-2011 $25,000 went to charities that promote the welfare of Brooklyn youth – thanks to endowment funds specifically earmarked for this purpose – and $30,000 went to other local causes. These are the small grants that were made by Plymouth in the last church year:
