Plymouth Day Camp is the perfect place for your young camper! Because we specialize in early childhood education, we understand what makes young campers happy campers. The focus of our summer is on giving each child the opportunity to make friends, learn self-help skills, and have lots of fun. Plymouth's experienced staff of trained early childhood professionals takes special care in guiding each child through the age-appropriate steps of gaining independence and building confidence.
Three Specially Crafted Programs offer every young camper the best possible camp experience. The Toddler Program for ages 22-29 months, accompanied by parent or caregiver, offers a sunny introduction, while the Separation Program for ages 30-35 months encourages expanded playtime and independence. Our Preschooler Program for ages 3 to those entering kindergarten allows time for both structured and unstructured play, and offers children a multisensory approach to learning and discovery. All three programs at Plymouth Day Camp provide a safe and happy environment for every young camper.

Our Camp Programs, from Toddler to Preschooler
Toddler Program (age 22 – 29 months)
Our Toddler Program offers our youngest campers a taste of camp. During the twice-a-week, 75-minute class, the children and their caregivers have playtime in the classroom, art projects, circle time, and snack. On one day, the children will have time on the playground and in the sandbox. On the other day, they'll use the sprinklers and outdoor water table. We offer four sessions: A) Mon & Wed 9:15-10:30, (B) Mon & Wed 10:45-12:00, (C) Tues & Thurs 9:15-10:30, and (D) Tues & Thurs 10:45-12:00. This class is led by an experienced early childhood professional. Registration is for the full 12-class session only. Children may be registered for more than one session (please note that activities will repeat).
Separation Program (age 30 months - 35 months)
Our Separation Program was designed to create a smooth transition between the Toddler Program and drop-off Preschooler Camp. This Monday-through-Friday, 2 ½-hour class offers an interactive experience for parents and children while working toward a gentle separation. Camp begins with a parent or caregiver in the room with the child. As he or she gains familiarity and a sense of trust with the staff, the routine, and other children, the child is helped to separate. Each child reaches this goal at his or her own pace. In the Separation Program, campers enjoy playtime in their classroom, movement, circle time, art, story time, snack, and both outdoor and indoor gross-motor play on our playground and in our gym. On warm days, the children play outdoors with sprinklers and a water table. This class is led by an experienced early childhood professional. Registration is for the full 6-week session only.
Preschooler Program (age 3.0-entering Kindergarten)
Our Preschooler Program is the perfect place for your child’s first drop-off camp experience! Our intimate and nurturing program lets children enjoy what’s best about summer. The facilities include a large outdoor playground with sandbox, jungle gym, and warm-weather water play. Children have the opportunity to swim in our exceptionally well-staffed pool. They will learn how to stay safe in the water, as well as gain some basic skills for beginning to swim on their own. Our campers can experiment with music, crafts, yoga, gymnastics, sports, and much more. All children in the Preschooler Program have a shared lunch time at camp. On Tuesdays, campers wear their red camp T-shirts for special and exciting activities. Last summer we had visits from a storyteller, petting zoo and chef, as well as an all-camp carnival. This summer promises to bring even more fun!
