You support Plymouth Church's vibrant community of faith
The Church's way of being is centered on being a covenant community. This means that each member is bound to God and to every other member of the community by a solemn vow to love, care for and support each other come what may. God – eternally and irrevocably bound to us – is the source of our covenant.
You broaden the Church's programs
From DiscoveryLand to Adult Christian Education, Cherub Choir to Adult Choir, the Church is committed to broadening its programming to inspire children, teens and adults of all ages. The Church constantly works to provide stimulating and meaningful programs, retreats and opportunities to enhance the lives of all of its members and to build community.
The Church's Ministry to Families and Children offers a growing list of programs, including our popular Sunday School, DiscoveryLand, and its annual Vacation Bible Camp. Recent programs offered by the Ministry to Families and Children include support groups for new mothers and parents, weekday toddler playtimes, tween events and volunteer programs, and summertime open playground.
You balance your inner and outward life
The Church's Senior Minister, Rev. David Fisher, reminds us that each of us is called to a journey of discipleship, comprised of inward (spiritual and personal) and outward (ethical and communal) paths. Your gift of giving to the Church can be a deep expression of all that you have received from God and from Plymouth.
You enable Plymouth Church to directly effect change in our community and the world
Plymouth Church continues to expand its outreach. The Church's Christian Help Committee annually selects ten partner organizations to further God's mission by transforming the lives of people on a local, national and international level. The Church's current priorities include economic development, breaking the cycle of poverty, disaster relief and education.
You provide support for our beloved and historic home
Plymouth Church is fortunate to be blessed with beautiful and historic buildings and grounds. One of our many responsibilities as a community is the upkeep and improvement of the church's facilities, including the sanctuary, the church office building, Plymouth Church School and garden. The costs associated with upkeep are substantial and your stewardship gift plays a vital role.
