Stewardship

Giving is an Act of Faith

Together we support our Plymouth Church.  It's a safe, warm house in which to worship our Lord together, receive spiritual food and grow.  This is a loving community that helps when things go wrong.

Our goal continues to be to inspire every member of our congregation to pledge or give. Consider how you might JOIN US with your commitment or gift for the 2016-17 stewardship year.  Then, JOIN US in making that pledge or gift. On May 1, JOIN US on Commitment Sunday in celebrating the strength of our community by making a commitment or giving.

As a steward of the gifts given to me (or my household) by God and with a generous heart, I/we commit a portion of those gifts to help proclaim the Gospel through the ministries of St. James' Church.

Your commitment may be fulfilled in a variety of ways; after submitting your commitment, you will receive an email sharing that specific information. The amount of your commitment will be known only by the Rector and Administration & Finance staff and may be altered at any time by notice to the Rector or Treasurer.

How to Make Your Commitment

You may make your commitment online at any time.

If you prefer to commitment in writing, complete the pledge section of the Stewardship reply envelope (copies are also available at the church) and place it in the offering plate, or mail it to Plymouth Church.

When You Give to Plymouth

  • You support Plymouth Church's vibrant community of faith.

  • You broaden the Church's programs: from Sunday School to Christian Spiritual Development, Cherub Choir to Adult Choir, the Church is committed to broadening its programming to inspire children, teens and adults of all ages.

  • You balance your inner and outward life: giving to the Church is a deep expression of all that you have received from God and from Plymouth.

  • You enable Plymouth Church to directly effect change in our community and the world: our Christian Help Committee annually selects ten partner organizations to further God's mission by transforming the lives of people on a local, national and international level.

  • You provide support for our beloved and historic home: Plymouth Church is fortunate to be blessed with beautiful and historic buildings and grounds and one of our many responsibilities is the upkeep and improvement of the church's facilities.
