SUMMER 2022 RENOVATION FAQs
What is being renovated?
Closet → Bathroom: The existing lobby closet will be converted into a bathroom for expanded event hospitality.
Better Pantry: The existing pantry will be refinished with better appliances, counter space, and other amenities to better host church and rental events.
New Gym Floor: Our woefully warped Gym floor will be replaced.
More Gym Bathrooms: The existing Gym bathroom space will be reconfigured to feature more restrooms.
Will this impact Sunday Worship?
No. Sunday Worship will continue to take place weekly in the Sanctuary from 11:00AM - 12:00PM.
Where will the choir / musicians rehearse prior to Sunday Worship?
Music rehearsals will take place in Hillis Hall.
Where will Coffee Hour take place?
Coffee Hour following Sunday Worship will take place exclusively in the Arcade and Beecher Garden.
Will there be Sunday School / Nursery Care during the summer?
Yes. It will continue to be located on the 4th floor of the 75 Hicks church house. However, the 75 Hicks elevator will need to be shut down during the summer. Access to the 4th Floor will only be possible via the Grand Staircase. Please take this into consideration as you plan drop-off and pick-up on Sundays.
Will the kids still have access to the Playground on Sundays?
Yes. Access will be exclusively through the Arcade / Hyphen entrance that leads directly to the Playground. Access through the Gym will not be permitted until the renovation is complete.
